Talpa FSR 1330

For pipe sizes ranging from DN 150 (lined) to a maximum of DN 300

The Talpa FSR 1330 is designed for pipes starting at DN 150 (lined) and can be equipped with wheel spacers and heavier weights to fit pipe sizes up to DN 300.

The robot sits stably in the sewer pipe without requiring additional bracing or securing for milling operations. This is ensured by its heavy weight and low center of gravity. The Talpa FSR 1330 can be tilted more than 45 degrees on both sides around its longitudinal axis without tipping over.

The robot has a high flexibility. Thanks to its four degrees of freedom, the equipped tool can reach all areas of the sewer pipe that need to be worked on.

The degrees of freedom in detail:

Drive the robot forward or backward
Rotate the robot's head 200 degrees in both directions
Raise and lower the arm hydraulically
Rotate the tool holder 360 degrees endlessly

In addition, the camera mounted on the head can be swiveled vertically, making it easy to focus on the area to be worked on or on the mounted tool.

Integrated Camera Rinse Nozzle

A nozzle to rinse the camera is integrated into the robot below the camera. To clean the camera glass, the camera is swiveled downward and gently rinsed with water. Thanks to the system’s integrated rinse function, there are no obstructing components in the field of view, ensuring a clear and unobstructed view of the work area at all times.

Pressurized Interior

To protect the robot’s interior from water ingress, it is filled with air and maintained at a positive pressure of 0.2 - 0.3 bar. On the Talpa FSR 1330, this pressure can be checked or adjusted using valves located in the center of the chassis and at the head, with the aid of an air pump equipped with a pressure gauge.

Multifunctional Tool Holder

The tool holder on the Talpa FSR 1330 allows for the use of different tools, depending on the application. Compressed air is supplied to the tools via a hose connection routed along the work arm. The air is directed directly into the tool being used. Thanks to this integrated solution, the tool holder has an extended swivel range, as no obstructive, freely hanging hose connections to the tool are required. The camera view is also not impaired.

To operate the connection cleaning hose or air motors with older-style angle sets, the lower part of the tool holder is removed. To position HutlinerPackers® or pipe sealing cushions (straight bladders), the front part of the tool holder is also removed.

Motor Stop

A motor stop integrated into the center of the working arm can be adjusted to suit the size of the tool being used. It prevents the tool from accidentally kicking back and reliably protects the camera from damage. An exhaust air guide that can be mounted on the tool holder helps divert milling dust away from the camera, thereby improving visibility during operation.

Strain Relief / Reverse Control

To prevent the power cable from being accidentally run over and damaged while reversing, the Talpa FSR 1330 features a built-in reverse control system. The strain relief chain between the cable and the reverse control rocker switch is tensioned. If the cable does not wind up fast enough while reversing, the rocker switch loses contact with the sensor and the reverse driving is prevented until the chain has tensioned itself again. This function can be switched on or off via the digital controls. The strain relief chain also protects the cable connector from tensile forces.

Hour Meter

An hour meter located at the top allows for easy and direct reading of operating hours without having to open the robot's body.

SUITABLE CAMERA MODEL

There is one camera model available for the Talpa FSR 1330.

MiNa is a pinhole camera with a high-resolution CCD sensor. It provides high-definition images and was developed especially for tough deployment in the sewer.

There are two air motors available for Talpa FSR 1330.

Wheel Spacers

With the wheel spacers, the milling and rehabilitation robots can be used on pipes of even the largest diameters without damaging the bearings. Thanks to the various combinations of wheel spacers available, the Talpa FSR 1330’s range of applications extends up to DN300.
