Company bike hire
When Jens Baumgardt, sewer renovator and vehicle driver for Schwalm Kanalsanierung, goes to work in the morning, he hasn’t used his car since the start of summer 2019. Instead, he uses his company bike. “At the start of the year, we were given the fantastic opportunity from our employer, in the form of Angelika Schwalm, to hire an e-bike from Bad Hersfeld’s bike shop Riebold (www.riebold-fahrrad.de) via the company. I didn’t wait to be asked twice and, after lots of advice from the bike shop and an intensive test ride, I found my desired Trekking e-bike, which I had had my eye on for a little while, in June 2019. Since then, I happily cover the 12 kilometers between my workplace and home in the morning and after work in the later afternoon as well. The only exception: in heavy rain. The movement (with the e-support) is doing me good and is a great way to offset the job,” says the 44-year-old. “I can also use the Trekking e-bike privately. This is really something great. I would like to pass on my warm thanks to Angelika and Martin Schwalm. It would not have been possible to readily buy this “dream e-bike” myself.

It isn't just Jens Baumgardt. Other Schwalm Kanalsanierung and Robotic employees are now making use of the attractive hire offer. “A total of 10 of our employees have now decided to opt for the 'company bike',” says Angelika Schwalm. “We are pleased that we are able to invest in the environmentally friendly and health-promoting mobility of our employees, and gain cost benefits for all parties.”
