The Girls' Day on April 25, 2013, has never been so popular. Around 120,000 students from 5th to – for the most part – 10th grade seized the opportunity provided by this year's national campaign day to take a look behind the scenes of occupations that aren't typically female, such as technology, sciences, trade and information technology, and to find out about training and study opportunities. And Schwalm Robotic GmbH welcomed the 13-year-old daughter of a Schwalm Robotic employee on the day of the event. Demonstrating curiosity and a high level of interest, she made the most of the day, which focuses on girls' futures, to gain an insight into the diverse technical remits at a robotic systems manufacturer. "It was an exciting and brilliant day," said the 13-year-old. "The mechatronics trainees at Schwalm really looked after me. They even let me solder and operate the turning lathe."
