Beastly familiar

Sand lizards

Schwalm Robotic employee Marcel Wientges was flabbergasted when he discovered a beastly nice family under a projection on the wall of the company building in October. The sand lizard, found very rarely in Germany, had made itself at home here in order to breed. The chosen spot also offers the sunny, dry to moderately damp habitat preferred by the sand lizards. "The family, which currently consists of a good 20 members, feels completely contented. Only once in a while do we take a look to see whether everything is all right," says Marcel Wientges.
